Loop Mould Compound

PU 4009 grey, PU 4009 black

Mold compound for induction
loops, suitable for
cold-processing
PU 4009 grey
PU 4009 black

Description

A two-component casting resin with colour added. After hardening the compound stays slightly flexible and is impervious to high temperatures and frost.

Application

The compound adheres well to reinforced concrete, asphalt and various plastics.

Processing

Adheres best on surfaces free of dust, fats and oils. Components come pre-measured. Mix componds for at least three minutes until uniform colour is achieved.

Formula to calculate amount needed

Gap length (cm) x width (cm) x depth (cm) x density (g/cm³)

SAFE-OLIT 3K

Cold-moldable compound for loop detectors

is a special mixture to fill floor gaps when induction loops are installed.

consists of specially adapted components. They are a mix of mineral materials of 0/2mm size, an emulsion of polymer and bitumen and concrete. This makes for a pulp-like cosistency that is used cold.

Base: concrete and asphalt, the gap must be clean and free of oil and fat, remove loose items. The gap can me moist, but water must be removed. In warm conditions a moist surface is recommended.

Processing: do not use in rain or temperatures under 5 ºC.

Mixing of components: the components come ready-mixed. The mineral mix comes in a 5-litres bucket suitable for preparation. The concrete portion is added to that, then 250 ml of water is mixed in to make the mash. In weather below 25 ºC 375 ml of water is recommended.

For mixing a trowel is suitable. Shake the bitumen and add to the moist mineral component, then mix until a uniform colour is achieved.

Installation: depending on the temperature, SAFE-OLIT stays pliable for 5 - 15 minutes (colder temperatures make for longer times). Fill the gap with the mixture and, with a little pressure, smoothen the surface with a trowel.

Storage: unopened at least six months, store in a frost-protected place and out of direct sunlight.

Delivery:

  • mineral mix: 2.5 kg in plastic pail
  • bitumen mix: 0.25 litres - plastic bottle
  • cement: 0.05 kg - plastic bag

The plastic pail serves well to prepare the mixture and to store the ingredients for the final mash.
