Band switch KS-15, KS-18

Safety contact strips KS 15 and KS 18 provide the signals for shearing-point and crushing-point monitors. Their advantage over other switches are the choice of materials and the shape and arrangements of parts. The homogenous TPE outer has a highly conductive Elastomer inner. Connected to this is a tinned copper braid which enables low-resistance evaluation of 200 m and longer. Contact characteristics are excellent because the two conductive inner surfaces can easily touch each other without the need to overcome any isolating materials.

The excellent bounce-back capabilities of the strips are ensured through the mechanical construction as well as the TPE material. The contact strips themselves are mounted in suitable extrusions. This enables easy implementation of suitable oncarriage-way. Also, the contact strips are protected by the extrusions. A variety of terminating resistors and signal readings are possible. Application as a safety device is supported by various registrations with relevant industry institutes and by complying with their standards.
